Shipping policy
IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION:
During the warm season we use temperature sensitive shipping materials and we follow a strict shipping schedule so that your chocolates arrive in pristine condition.
Please check our shipping rates and policies before you order. Sweet Cloud Gifts reserves the right to change the shipping method selected on your order to ensure that your order arrives safely. We will notify you by phone or email of any subsequent price increases due to shipping changes.
ORDER PROCESSING:
We pack and ship your chocolates within 1-2 business days of receiving your order; all orders received after 12 pm Pacific will not ship until the following business day. Occasionally during peak holiday seasons, it might take 24 hours to get your order shipped. If you place your order by overnight or 2nd day air, those take priority over ground shipments, and we will process those first. If you need your order by a certain date, please email info@sweetcloudgifts.com, and we will help you with your order.
All orders are shipped Monday-Friday. Due to the perishable nature of chocolate we do not ship orders over the weekend, and orders will not be delivered on Sunday.
LARGE QUANTITIES:
Some products require a longer lead time when ordered in larger quantities. Please allow about 3 business days for order processing.
URGENT ORDERS:
If you have an extremely time-sensitive order please contact us prior to placing your order to ensure we can meet your deadline. For holiday orders we provide guidelines on order deadlines to ensure guaranteed delivery prior to the holiday.
PACKAGING:
We go to great measures to ensure that our chocolate is delivered in perfect condition. To ship in warmer time of the year or to warmer climates (65 degrees and higher), we use insulated packaging to protect the chocolates.
DELIVERY TO CONTIGUOUS U.S.A:
When you order by the cutoff time Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays), most orders will ship that same day and you should receive it in 3 to 5 business days depending on your ZIP Code.
Some circumstances may result in delayed shipping or delivery (incorrect address, carrier circumstances, weather conditions, etc.).
Orders received on Friday by the indicated cutoff time will ship on the following Monday.
SHIPPING ADDRESS:
We highly recommend shipping your chocolates to an address where someone will be able to receive the package as soon as it arrives. It is up to the discretion of the delivery service if they will leave your package at the door or attempt a redeliver the following day and in either case your chocolates may melt before you receive them if they are left outside or spend extra time in transit.

SHIPPING OVER THE WEEKEND:
Most of our shipments are shipped early in the week in order to avoid having the chocolates sit over the weekend in an unconditioned facility.
DELIVERY TIMES:
All of our shipping vendors only deliver on business days, unless Saturday delivery is specified (where available, additional charges apply). Our shipping vendors may require a signature for delivery at the discretion of the driver. Deliveries to businesses typically occur between 8 am and 5 pm, and deliveries to residences can typically occur between 9 am and 7 pm.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
We do not ship to international destinations.
SHIPPING TO P.O. BOXES:
Shipping to P.O. Boxes is not available.
TRACKING YOUR PACKAGE:
When your package ships, we will send you an email notification that contains a link to which you can track your shipment.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations are accepted until the order is being prepared for shipment.
RETURN POLICY:
You may return most new, unopened, non-perishable items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.
UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES:
We are not responsible for packages that are delayed or returned as undeliverable due to incorrect information provided by our customers. Additional shipping costs will apply to any returned packages that need to be reshipped. We cannot reship returned packages if the chocolates are no longer in sellable condition (due to melting, excessive damage, etc.).
CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS:
This Shipping & Returns Policy may change from time to time. We may amend this Shipping & Returns Policy at any time by posting the amended terms on this site. We will not reduce your rights under this Shipping & Returns Policy without your explicit consent, and we expect most such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will post any Shipping & Returns Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. All amended terms automatically take effect 30 days after they are initially posted on the site.
